Students:
If you’re ready to embark on an exciting adventure into the two-wheeled world, look no further. Rider’s Edge® is Harley-Davidson’s Academy of Motorcycling.

Cost:
The cost of the Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course is determined by each participating dealership, and ranges anywhere from $195 to $350. Remember, the price includes the use of a Buell® Blast® motorcycle for class riding sessions. So check with the dealership of your choice.

Curriculums:
Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course
Before you can fire the ignition and roll down the asphalt, you need to soak up some basic information. And that means spending some quality time in the classroom with an expert instructor. But this is no lecture. It’s a fast-moving, interactive seminar that will introduce you to the world of motorcycling. So take notes and hold on.When you’re finished in the classroom, you’re ready for the range; a controlled environment designed to deliver a real-road experience. You’ll start slowly, getting familiar with the motorcycle. And then you’ll kick into gear and learn basic skills like braking and turning, plus other maneuvers like controlling skids and surmounting obstacles.

Rider’s Edge® Skilled Rider Course
The Skilled Rider Course is a six to seven hour course held entirely on the range over one or two days. The Course uses the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) Experienced RiderCourse® Suite, with some enhancements developed by Harley-Davidson enthusiasts. Participants use their own motorcycles, or rentals, to enhance the following skills: control at low speeds, risk management, limited space maneuvers, cornering judgment, stopping quickly in a curve, swerving and stopping quickly, multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects.

Rider’s Edge® Group Riding
The only thing better than hitting the open road is sharing the experience with friends. But group riding requires a different set of skills than solo travel. And that’s why we’ve worked with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) to develop the Rider’s Edge®/MSF Guide to Group Riding—a self-study video seminar that will show you, step-by-step, how to organize and ride in the ultimate group adventure. You’ll learn ride planning and preparation, formations, hand signals, how to deal with road hazards and a lot more. Then you can test your knowledge with a multiple-choice evaluation included in the course materials.

To order the Rider’s Edge®/MSF Guide to Group Riding packages, call 1-866-808-1098 or visit the Web site of National Premium, our authorized fulfillment center. And go make some motorcycling memories.
