What Are the Requirements For Taking a Course?
Requirements for the Basic Rider Course (3-day) :
- Driver's license is NOT required.
- Motorcycle is NOT required. The training site provides the motorcycle.
- Student must provide protective riding gear.
- Helmet (Helmets may be supplied by some training sites.)
- Long sleeves
- Long pants
- Eye protection (sunglasses or glasses with shatterproof lenses)
- Boots or leather high tops over the ankles
- Gloves with the fingers in
- Minimum age is 15 years.
- Students under 18 years old who do not have a driver's license must bring proof of completing the first six hours of an approved Driver's Education Course.
- Students under 18 years old must have parental permission.
- This course is strenuous, especially in hot weather.
- Student must already have the balance skills required to ride a bicycle.
- Enrollment is limited, and classes fill quickly.

Requirements for the Experienced Rider Course (1-day):
- Student must provide his own motorcycle.
- Student must show a valid driver's license that allows him to operate a motorcycle in the state in which he is taking the course.
- Student must show proof of insurance for the motorcycle used in the course.
- Motorcycle must pass a basic safety inspection in class.
- Student should have ridden several thousand miles on the motorcycle he uses in class.
